Founded in 1950, Yangquan Coal Group General Hospital is a large-scale comprehensive Triple A hospital integrating medical treatment,teaching, scientific research, prevention, rehabilitation and community health care, and is fully open to the society. The hospital covers an area of 48,000 square meters, with a building area of 86,000 square meters. It is a comprehensive and coordinated development of various disciplines focusing on emergency trauma and orthopaedic surgery, and has carried out 160 new technical projects in recent years, among which the technical projects of amputation reimplantation, coronary artery bypass grafting, total femoral stem resection and replacement, joint replacement and tibial lengthening have maintained a leading position in the province.
